The Obelisk Centre in Kingsthorpe, one of the town’s more unusual landmarks, was built in 1764 by the second Earl of Strafford. The white sandstone structure stands on a pedestal at 100 feet high and about 450 feet above sea level. We use The Obelisk as the starting point for all rides.
